Welcome to Casa Mare, Puglia, just two minutes walk from the Adriatic sea and an uncommercialised sandy beach. Casa Mare is our family home and is now available for holiday rental for just a few weeks each year. We plan to book no more than six weeks so availablity for this villa with a large private heated swimming pool and close to the beach is limited.

Casa Mare is 25 minutes from the Port of Brindisi and close to the historic towns of Lecce (the Florence of the South), Otranto and many others. This seaside villa, benefiting from a beach location, swimming pool, air-conditioning, outside jacuzzi and all the comforts of a family home provides a peaceful haven for a relaxing holiday in the heart of Puglia.

Casa Mare is a spacious three bedroom (sleeping 6 - 8), detached villa, standing in it's own walled, private gardens just a stones throw from the Adriactic sea. Completely refurbished and fully equipped, with the added benefit of air-conditioning, a 12m x 6m solar heated swimming pool, external hot-tub, wi-fi internet, flat-screen tv and Satellite tv (and cats!) Casa Mare is the perfect place to relax at any time of the year.

Whether you want to relax by the pool or on the beach, explore the Port of Brindisi, the historic towns of Lecce and Otranto or simply enjoy La Dolce Vita the way the Italians do, Casa Mare is the place for you.

The private, solar heated swimming pool (12m x 6m) is perfect for cooling off on hot summer days, or for the more energetic for swimming lengths! The pool is surrounded by patio and has lawn area and flower beds close by. Behind the pool you will find a bourganvilla covered gazebo and the hot-tub! Relax in the tub, with a glass of wine, star-gazing on balmy summer nights. There is an outside bar complete with fridge near the hot-tub and swimming pool.

The lemon tree will provide freshly picked lemons for your G&T or freshly made lemonade for the children! We are keen gardeners and fresh seasonal produce is freely available, subject to what's in season! As you would expect we grow tomatoes, salads and herbs, but also asparagus, artichokes, strawberries and melons. We have an excellent established peach tree and new cherry, mandarin, apricot, orange and grapefruit trees that are just starting to produce fruit (in 2007).

The spacious villa remains relatively cool on hot summer days but benefits from air-conditioning when needed. To the front of the house there is a spacious covered verandah with patio dining table and chairs. An ideal spot for eating alfresco. A gas fired barbecue is also available.

An extensive library of English books, CDs, videos and DVDs, together with jigsaw puzzles and board games are provided for your entertainment. Casa Mare all the home entertainment facilities you might require, including large flat screen tv, Satellite tv with some english speaking channels, dvd / cd players.

All the bedrooms are full-size spacious rooms, two with super-king beds and the third with a standard double bed. Additional single beds are available as is a baby cot and high-chair. All bedrooms have ample storage and are equipped with hair-dryers.

On your arrival at Casa Mare you will find a Welcome Basket, including local products and produce, to get you started on your first evening in Casalabate. You will be personally welcomed by Bob and Debbie, the English owners. During your stay, Bob and Debbie will be on hand in their apartment beneath the villa, but promise not to intrude on your holiday.

Bob and Debbie are available during your holiday to help in anyway to make your holiday at Casa Mare special and memorable. They can make restaurant recommendations and reservations for you, provide directions to places you want to visit, arrange boat trips, etc. But rest assured, you will be left in peace to enjoy your holiday at Casa Mare.

Optionally, on your arrival at Brindisi or Bari airport, we can arrange for you to be met on arrival and provide assistance in collecting your hire car, driving you to Casa Mare if required.

Before you arrive, if you wish, we can shop for you and stock the kitchen. We can arrange with Val and Mino, Puglia's Rent A Chef, for lunches and dinners to be catered for you if required.
